Art Space Development Corporation (ASDC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit that facilitates the growth and
success of artistic communities in San Francisco. Tax ID: 94-2832487
We support art that reflects and engages the San Francisco Bay Area's racially and culturally diverse audience community. We believe that when art is relevant and accessible, it can transform the world, so our work rises naturally out of connecting to our local community, to popular culture, and to events of the day.
Visual
Arts: Pacific Felt Factory
Pacific Felt Factory
(PFF) arts complex is located in our 6,000 sq ft historic 1865-era brick
warehouse building in San Francisco’s Mission District, an area where
gentrification is quickly displacing arts’ spaces and local artists. PFF serves
the Bay Area Arts community by providing below-market-rate studios to
underserved artists, and provides a community exhibition/meeting/event space at
no cost for both local artists and the broader Mission area community. PFF currently
houses visual, video and performing artists, curators and architects, and three
art non profits: the Little Opera, Independent Arts and Media (IAM) and Media
Alliance.
PFF has a 500 sq ft flex space where the contemporary art community can
make and exhibit their art, experiment, collaborate, and sustain local arts
activities.
PFF is dedicated to cultural equity and sustainable art careers. Our space is a catalyst for the arts; artists, cultural producers, writhers, arts non-profit organizations and professionals all under one roof, fostering collaboration, communication, and a cultural resource for the local community. PFF hosts a broad spectrum of arts programming, professional development workshops, creative events, pop-up exhibits and screenings, and creates opportunity for those underserved in the arts.
